Another manipulative shock film by the banana man, Ray Comfort.  This movie seemingly is to remind us about Hitler.

He poses some really difficult questions to people on the street.  He says, "It's 1945, A German officer is pointing a machine gun at you and telling you to drive a bulldozer forward.  There is a huge pit with people in it, some dead some half alive.  He tells you to bury those people alive.  He is going to shoot you if you don't do it.  Would you do it?"  The answers get intense. There are extremely shocking images of dead people.

THEN AT EXACTLY 13:22 there is a dead baby shown and Ray Comfort says, "How do you feel about abortion?".  Need I say more?  Yes.  This film is a con that compares fucking ABORTION to the Jewish Holocaust.

Watch it then rise up.

Is it worth our time trying to reason with the emotionally minded people that are religious?

By Philip Sober

I'm an atheist and have been out spoken about it and heard all the nonsense regarding that fact by the religious, such as, I'm a fundie atheist or atheism is my religion, etc... but lately I've questioned my own tactics. What i mean by that is this, as an atheist, I'm also fairly scientific minded, for an uneducated layman that is.

I've come to the rational belief, in the philosophy of bio/environmental determinism. Now with this belief system I've come to the hypothesis that perhaps there are two types of thinkers, ones that are biologically determined by brain matter, logically minded and the emotionally minded. And that while there are some logically minded people that have been brought up in religion (myself included) they generally find there way to a more rational view of life.

Is it worth our time trying to reason with the emotionally minded people that are religious? We find it frustrating beyond belief trying to understand why anyone would believe in such Woo Who Bullshit and in the same way they will never be able to follow the rational, logical road to atheism. Their brains are biologically incapable of working in the mind set of reason and logic to such a degree that is necessary to follow such a path as their emotional part of their brain keeps canceling out that rational path.

I'm not saying they are incapable of all reason, just not to the ability that say "we" are. That being the reason it is that most of the scientific community and higher educated people are atheistic or non-religious. It's not that education causes the lack of belief but that the brain function of these people that leads them to more rationally minded fields, is also the same that leads one to atheism.

Anti-Abortion Groups Push To Outlaw Contraceptives By Redefining Personhood: "pA fringe anti-abortion group, Personhood USA, has been startlingly successful at pushing forward legislation across the country that would redefine life as beginning at the moment of fertilization, effectively outlawing contraceptives like birth control pills. Although the medical community has long been in agreement that fertilization does not mark the beginning of a pregnancy — [...]/p"

The Situation Room | Know Your Meme - Hillary taken out of photo

"According to the NYPost, Der Zeitung, a Hasidic newspaper in Brooklyn, deleted Hillary Clinton and Audrey Tomason, the Director of Counterterrorism from the photograph, because, as others speculated, the organization does not like to show women in positions of authority."

Jesus Christ is a Myth

Jesus, in many respects, was the reincarnation of Mithras,” said author Jeremiah Camara, The New Doubting Thomas, p. 13. The author continued, “Mithras was born on December 25. Mithras, like Jesus, was called the “good shepherd” and considered the “light of the world.” Mithras, like Jesus, was buried in a tomb, and then rose after three days. Not only was Jesus nearly a carbon copy of Mithras, he came at a most opportune time when the Roman Empire needed a new commodity to sell to the world. Jesus was just what the Roman Empire needed to restore itself to its past glory.”

  • you will learn nothing
Everyone at TAM is invited, and it is free to attend. There is a suggested donation to the JREF at the door of $20.00 or more.

Video: Outrage After Calif. Muslim Removed From Plane (CAIR)

Southwest Airlines apologized on Wednesday to a Muslim woman removed from one of the carrier's jets before a flight out of Lindbergh Field, due to concerns about a comment she made while awaiting takeoff.

Irum Abassi, a graduate student at San Diego State University, was wearing an Islamic head scarf when she was told Sunday that she had to leave the plane because a flight attendant considered her "suspicious," Abassi said at a news conference.

The airline expressed regret over the episode, which caused Abassi to miss her 8:15 a.m. flight.

"We sincerely apologize for the customer's inconvenience, and we regret that she was unable to travel as scheduled," the Southwest statement said. "We accommodated her on the next flight to San Jose, and we issued her a travel voucher as a gesture of good will for her inconvenience."

The local chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations complained about the woman being taken off the plane.

A crew member thought she heard the woman say, "It's a go" during a cell phone call.

"They weren't even sure what I said," Abassi said, adding that she really said, "I've got to go," because the plane was about to takeoff.

"My question was, `Did I do something wrong?"' she said. "And they said, 'Uh, the flight attendant thinks that you are suspicious."'

According to the airline, Abassi "was asked to deplane so we could talk to her regarding behavior observed prior to takeoff."

"After talking with the customer, we cleared (her) to travel. ... Obviously, the safety and security of our employees and customers is our number one priority at all times, and we have a responsibility to thoroughly investigate any and all potential safety concerns," Southwest stated.

The airline is doing an internal investigation.

A VERY powerful video of a woman fighting back.

Message to American Atheists

ORIGINAL LINK:  Added: Friday, 22 April 2011 at 2:08 PM (

Dear fellow-unbelievers,

Nothing would have kept me from joining you except the loss of my voice (at least my speaking voice) which in turn is due to a long argument I am currently having with the specter of death. Nobody ever wins this argument, though there are some solid points to be made while the discussion goes on. I have found, as the enemy becomes more familiar, that all the special pleading for salvation, redemption and supernatural deliverance appears even more hollow and artificial to me than it did before. I hope to help defend and pass on the lessons of this for many years to come, but for now I have found my trust better placed in two things: the skill and principle of advanced medical science, and the comradeship of innumerable friends and family, all of them immune to the false consolations of religion. It is these forces among others which will speed the day when humanity emancipates itself from the mind-forged manacles of servility and superstitition. It is our innate solidarity, and not some despotism of the sky, which is the source of our morality and our sense of decency.

That essential sense of decency is outraged every day. Our theocratic enemy is in plain view. Protean in form, it extends from the overt menace of nuclear-armed mullahs to the insidious campaigns to have stultifying pseudo-science taught in American schools. But in the past few years, there have been heartening signs of a genuine and spontaneous resistance to this sinister nonsense: a resistance which repudiates the right of bullies and tyrants to make the absurd claim that they have god on their side. To have had a small part in this resistance has been the greatest honor of my lifetime: the pattern and original of all dictatorship is the surrender of reason to absolutism and the abandonment of critical, objective inquiry. The cheap name for this lethal delusion is religion, and we must learn new ways of combating it in the public sphere, just as we have learned to free ourselves of it in private.

Our weapons are the ironic mind against the literal: the open mind against the credulous; the courageous pursuit of truth against the fearful and abject forces who would set limits to investigation (and who stupidly claim that we already have all the truth we need). Perhaps above all, we affirm life over the cults of death and human sacrifice and are afraid, not of inevitable death, but rather of a human life that is cramped and distorted by the pathetic need to offer mindless adulation, or the dismal belief that the laws of nature respond to wailings and incantations.

As the heirs of a secular revolution, American atheists have a special responsibility to defend and uphold the Constitution that patrols the boundary between Church and State. This, too, is an honor and a privilege. Believe me when I say that I am present with you, even if not corporeally (and only metaphorically in spirit...) Resolve to build up Mr Jefferson's wall of separation. And don't keep the faith.

Christopher Hitchens
